Have placed second in my age group in a few races, but that win keeps eluding me

Background:
After barely dabbling with cycling for a few years, I started training for real in 2012 when a friend asked me if I wanted to join him and some friends in a race called Lofoten Insomnia. I said “yes, of course” before I knew what I said agreed to. I then found out it was 235 km, starting at midnight, so I figured I had to start training for that. Now, a few years later I am a bit fitter, 15 kg lighter and love cycling. Training as much as I would like isn’t always easy with a small child and my bettter half working shifts, but the turbotrainer has been my way to get the hours in. I have just upgraded to a Tacx Neo, so now I look forward to dipping my toes in the deep waters that is Zwift
